Hi! 🤠 I am a Ph.D. student at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, School of Computer Science, where I work with Sarah Fox on creating mechanisms for accountability and greater end-user agency in interactions with machine learning systems.

Previously, I worked as a Research Intern with the FATE group at Microsoft Research, as a Fellow at Weizenbaum Institute, and as a Pre-Doctoral Researcher with the Google Research India and the Technology, AI, Society and Culture (TASC) team, focusing on mixed-methods research interrogating the practices of dataset production.

Before joining Google Research, I worked as a Research Associate at IIIT Delhi with Pushpendra Singh. We developed a framework containing actionable guidelines for designing mobile applications for low-literacy users. I graduated with a B.Tech in Computer Science from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in Delhi in 2019.

I am passionate about teaching, and spent a lot of time tutoring science and math to middle school students as a volunteer with the Aashmaan Foundation. I have also worked with UpGrad as an instructor of Data Science using Python for university students.
